Who We Are

We are Eric and Monica Bland, married for nearly 30 years with a large family. In 2014, we moved from a townhome in Maryland to 10 acres in Texas. We call this home our Promised Land, inspired by the land promised to Abraham's generations. We believe this place is a gift from God and strive to honor Him in our lives.

Our homestead was built through watching videos, reading blogs, and making plenty of mistakes. When we first arrived, a kind couple offered support, which isn’t the case for everyone. We understand not everyone has the help they need to start homesteading, so we created our YouTube channel and social media to mentor those who do.

We want to assist you on your journey, whether you're dreaming of owning land or just settling into a new home. We are here to support and teach you the skills to move forward.
